Head Women's Soccer Coach Wake Forest University

Tony da Luz enters his 13th season at the helm of the women's soccer team at Wake Forest University.
He has led the Demon Deacons to an impressive streak of 12 consecutive NCAA Tournament
appearances and under his tutelage, Wake Forest has never experienced a losing season.

Under his guidance, 28 Deacs have earned All-ACC honors, including eight first-team selections and two
ACC Rookie of the Year winners. Da Luz has helped guide two Freshmen All-Americans and seven to the
ACC All-Freshman team. Also, 20 Deacs have been named All-Southeast Region and eight have been
selected to ACC Championship all-tournament teams, while the team has continually been ranked among
the top-25 in the nation.

In 2008, Wake Forest found itself ranked in the top 25 for all of the 2008 season. The Deacs finished the
year with a 13-8-0 record and were selected to host the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament.
Wake defeated Morehead State 2-0 in the first round of the tournament, before being defeated by James
Madison 1-0 in the second round.
Tim Santoro
Assistant Women's Soccer Coach Wake Forest University
Tim Santoro begins his second year as an assistant coach at Wake Forest. Santoro brings 15 years of coaching experience in the
collegiate and professional ranks to Wake Forest.

In his first season in Winston-Salem, Wake Forest increased its goal output from 34 in 2007 to 38 in 2008. The Deacs finished the
year with a 13-8-0 record and hosted the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament. Forward Jill Hutchinson and midfielder Amy
Smerdzinski were named All-Southeast region by Soccer Buzz, while Smerdzinski was a second-team All-ACC selection.

Santoro joined the Wake Forest staff after spending seven seasons as the associate head coach at the College of Charleston.
Santoro inherited a Charleston team that had a 4-13-2 record and turned the squad into one of the best in the Southern Conference.

From 1998-2001, Santoro, one of four full-time coaching staff members along with 30-plus game coaches, assisted in maintaining
Charlotte Soccer Club as, not only one of the premier clubs in North Carolina, but in Region III and the United States. In his three
years, Charlotte Soccer Club won 19 NCYSA State Cups and captured 12 USYSA Region III medals and, ultimately, Santoro won the
Club its first Region III championship and helped lead the Club to three USYSA National Championship finalist medals.

Before joining Charlotte Soccer Club, Santoro served, from 1996-98, as Head Coach/Director of Operations of the Charlotte Speed of
the United Soccer Leagues (USL) Women's League (W-League). During his tenure, he led the Speed to the `97 USL Southern
Division Playoffs and was the key figure in the franchise being named "1998 USL Organization of the Year."

Santoro, who began his coaching career at his alma mater, Catawba College, holds both USSF and NSCAA coaching licenses.
Megan Jessee- Goalkeeper Camp Director
Assistant Women's Soccer Wake Forest University

Former Connecticut standout Megan Jessee begins her second season as an assistant coach at Wake Forest.
Jessee will work with the Demon Deacon goalkeepers.

"I am very excited to join the Wake Forest women's soccer program," Jessee said. "This is a great program that
can compete at the highest level in the ACC and on the national scene. I look forward to working with the other
members of the coaching staff and the players to bring this program to the next level."

In her first year at Wake Forest, Jessee helped the Demon Deacon keepers to 10 shutouts. Junior goalkeeper
Laura Morse showed improvement in goal under the direction of Jessee, finishing the 2008 season with seven
clean sheets and posting a 1.01 goals against average.

Jessee joined the Demon Deacon staff after spending a year as the women's soccer graduate assistant at
Slippery Rock University. While at Slippery Rock, Jessee served as the field player and goalkeeper coach and
also helped with recruiting and team operations.

Jessee has also coached for the Connecticut Olympic Development Program, the FSA Soccer Plus Football Club,
Soccer Plus Camps and the Region 1 ODP Girls Soccer Camp.

A four-year letter winner while at Connecticut, Jessee earned Big East Goalkeeper of the Week honors three
times in the 2004 season. Jessee was named a member of the Big East Academic All Star Team and the Big East
All-Second Team in 2004.

After finishing her career at UCONN, Jessee spent a year with the Soccer Plus Connecticut Reds of the Women's
Premier Soccer League.
